Nintendo Invites Nostalgic Gamers By Bringing A Wii Sports Game

JAKARTA - Nintendo has finally brought back some of its classic Wii Sports games into a new game, dubbed Nintendo Switch Sports.

Gamers could play tennis, bowling, and chambara, but Nintendo didn't just bring those classic games, the company also added soccer, badminton, and volleyball.

Nintendo says that a future update to Nintendo Switch Sports coming this fall will also add golf to Switch games.

Like the original Wii Sports, Nintendo Switch Sports will feature motion control activity, using a detachable Joy-Con controller to track gamer movements while playing games.

The company will be giving owners of its Ring Fit Adventure leg strap accessory something new to do, as that peripheral will also be supported on Nintendo Switch Sports.

Launching on April 29, Nintendo Switch Sports will host an online play test ahead of the game's release on February 18 to 20.

But gamers must have an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription to be able to take the test. In this trial, Nintendo will be showing off a mode called Survival Bowling, with play for up to 16 players.

During the test, gamers will be able to play bowling, chambara, and tennis with random players, gamers will not be able to play with their friends.

Lastly, Nintendo also announced an upcoming update to the game later this year. Where the company will add support for accessory leg straps to play penalty shootouts.
