JAKARTA - Sungjong from the INFINITE group won a lawsuit against his old agency, SPK Entertainment. He demanded payments that he did not accept while under the company.

Sungjong joined the SPK in August 2022 after not extending his contract with Woollim Entertainment. Even so, he is still active as an INFINITE member.

During the contract period, Sungjong did not accept payments or support for appearances on television, fanmeetings, or album releases. The agency also did not discuss content certification so that last year, Sungjong terminated his exclusive contract.

The forced arbitration is stipulated in the decision to suspend the effects of the contract, which frees Sungjong from exclusive contracts.

After that, Sungjong filed a lawsuit for payment related to INFINITE, a appearance on YouTube, a fan meeting in Japan for two years. He won the case on February 28, a year after the lawsuit was filed.

"The defendant (SPK Entertainment) must pay the plaintiff (Lee Sungjong) a wage with an interest rate of 6 percent from April 21, 2023 to February 28, 2025 with an annual interest of 12 percent from the stated day until the full payment," the court said on Tuesday, March 11.

Sungjong is now joining INFINITE COMPANY which manages the INFINITE group with members. They released their 8th mini album, LIKE INFINITE.

INFINITE will also hold a 15-year celebration concert, LIMITED EDITION in April in Seoul, South Korea.
