The Microverse Experience Will Be The Future Of The Metaverse, What Is The Microverse?

JAKARTA - Yurii Filipchuk, founder and CEO of the virtual party platform, Party.Space stated that the "Microverse Experience" will be the future of the Metaverse.

According to Filipchuk, rather than “build a huge Metaverse and sell the land there”, Web3 creators should focus their efforts on “exploring the best ways to interact online” with online communities.

The idea is that each online community builds its own Microverse, which is networked together to form the Metaverse.

Party.Space launched in May 2020 with the idea of playing video chat. They now work with 65 corporate clients to host conferences, year-end parties, team-building events, and workshops.

One of Filipchuk's “Microverse” creations is the “Doge Temple”, a virtual space for Doge meme fans to socialize. It was launched by the virtual party platform Party.Space in November 2021.

It was this week's site for the afterparty for Product Hunt's seventh annual (and virtual second) Golden Kitty Awards ceremony. Doge Temple was a semi-finalist in the Product Demo video category but failed to win any awards.

ConsitionDAO took home the Golden Kitty Award for best Web3 project, with Phantom, Thirdweb, and Rainbow coming in as runners-up.

“We wanted to build on the Microverse experience and wanted people to be able to travel between them to choose the Microverse that best fits their vibe”, Filipchuk told Cointelegraph. "We're really exploring new ways for people to communicate".

 

The COVID-19 pandemic and global lockdowns are forcing many people around the world to shift some of their lives online. Zoom is a breakthrough star in the video calling field, with platforms like Teams and Slack establishing themselves in our work lives.

“Virtual events persist because they are so convenient, and so much more fun than just talking via Zoom”, Filipchuk said, as quoted by Cointelegraph.

Doge Temple explained his Microverse ideas in a Nov. 2 Medium post, refuting the idea that it's possible to build "mass communities around artificially created virtual worlds." The post explains:

“Where the Metaverse tries to be everything to everyone, the Microverse creates a special miniature world around existing communities, trends, and ideas.”
