DOGE Developer Announces Dogecoin Update With Low Transaction Fee

JAKARTA – The boss of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk is also known as a supporter of crypto Dogecoin (DOGE). Recently, Musk commented on the launch of the important Dogecoin Core 1.14.5 update.

Launching Benzinga, Dogecoin Core 1.14.5 released on Monday brought important security updates and network policy changes, including recommended cost reductions.

“This release completes a new minimum fee recommendation for all participants on the Dogecoin network, following a reduction in relay and mining defaults at 1.14.4,” said Dogecoin co-developer Ross Nicoll on Github.

Basically, the update will allow the Dogecoin wallet component to send transactions using low fees by default. The minimum default cost will be set to 0.01 DOGE per kilobyte. In order for the update to be fully implemented on the network, all Dogecoin Core users, miners, and node operators are recommended to upgrade to the latest version.

Previously, Elon Musk revealed that lowering Doge transaction fees is very important so that Dogecoin can be used to buy various goods including movie tickets.

Some time ago the largest cinema chain in the United States, AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. announced to accept ticket purchases with crypto which has the largest community, DOGE.

Currently, the price of DOGE is trading at the level of Rp4,049 with an increase of 3.96 percent in the last 24 hours, based on data from Coiningecko. Dogecoin ranks as the ninth-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization behind Ripple and Polkadot.
