JAKARTA - PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the operator of the competition with PSSI has confirmed the use of video assistant referee (VAR) in the 2025/2026 League 2 season competition.

Previously, PSSI together with PT LIB had confirmed the use of VAR technology in the 2024/2025 League final to increase justice and the standards of football competition in Indonesia.
VAR will be applied in two important matches, namely the final between PSIM Yogyakarta and Bhayangkara Presisi FC and the match for third place between Persijap Jepara and PSPS Pekanbaru.
