JAKARTA Manchester City defender John Stones scored a dramatic victory goal in the final minute in a 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux Stadium, Sunday, October 20, which brought City to the top of the Premier League standings and broke the club's record with 31 league games without defeat.

City, who have the status of defending champion, dominated possession from the start of the match. However, they were surprised by Wolves' quick goal in the seventh minute, when Nelson Semedo's perfect cross was calmly completed by Wolves striker Jorgen Strand Larsen, from close range.

Semedo then had a golden opportunity to double Wolves' lead in a one-on-one situation, but Ederson managed to make a brilliant save. City finally equalized in the 33rd minute through defender Josko Gvardiol, who beautifully curled his shot past Jose Sa.

Stones' winning goal in extra time was checked by VAR, but it was declared legal, making Pep Guardiola's manager and City's supporters cheered.
