JAKARTA - Indonesia is preparing to host the 2025 Gymnastics World Championship which will be held 14-25 October 2025. One of the steps to get there is that the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (PB Persani) has officially released the championship logo.

The General Chairperson (Ketum) of PB Persani, Ita Yuliati, explained that the logo that was carried this time described Indonesia's diversity and enthusiasm.

The logo uses orange and green colors that symbolize the breadth of the Indonesian plains, as well as pink colors that symbolize warmth and lines on logos that describe the strength of gymnastics athletes.

"Today's event is very special. This is the first step in Indonesia's game towards the world."

"Today we are launching a logo. We also appreciate the Government through the Ministry of Youth and Sports, KONI, and KOI for providing support to us," said Ita Yulianti at the launch event at the Media Center of the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

In addition to releasing the official logo of the 2025 Gymnastics World Championships, Persani also announced that next year's agenda will be held at the Indonesia Arena, Senayan.

"We have also determined the venue at the Indonesia Arena. The event will be held from October 14-25, 2025, followed by 60 countries with 400-500 gamers. We have also determined hotels and other facilities around Senayan," said Ita added.

Meanwhile, for the athletes' training ground in preparation for the 2025 Gymnastics World Championship agenda, Persani also said that it is currently being built in the Cibubur area and is targeted for completion in December 2024.

In order to prepare Indonesian athletes for the Gymnastics World Championships, Persani plans to bring in a coach from Japan.

This step was taken to improve the quality and experience of Indonesian athletes at the international level.

"For the preparation of our athletes, we will bring in a coach from Japan. Currently we are also intensely communicating with the Japanese," said Ita regarding the strategy to improve the quality of Indonesian athletes.

Indonesia plans to field three male athletes and three female athletes to appear at the 2025 Gymnastics World Championships.

However, it seems that Indonesia has not been able to field its flagship athlete Rifda Irfanaluthfi, because his condition is still in the process of recovering the ACL (anterior cruise ligament) injury he experienced while playing at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
