JAKARTA British boxer Anthony Joshua (AJ), is ready to bounce back after suffering the worst defeat in his career career against Daniel Dubois for the IBF belt.

AJ lost his fourth in 11 years of his career when he met Dubois at Wembley Stadium, England, on Sunday, September 22, 2024, Indonesian Western Time (WIB) morning. In that duel, he fell four times before being beaten by knockout (KO) in the fifth round.

After the fight, Joshua also promised to get up soon. He has ambitions to continue his struggle and return to being a third heavyweight world champion.

"We failed, we still have to look at all the positive sides. That's the perspective and mindset we have to have."

"Look at what we've accomplished in 11 years and it's amazing," Joshua was quoted as saying by Boxing Scene.

The defeat against Dubois is considered the end of Joshua's career. Some see this result can force Joshua to hang up his boxing gloves and close his journey in boxing.

However, Joshua has confirmed that he has not thought about retiring and stated that he still wants to continue his career in boxing.

Joshua and Dubois have a rematch clause that may take place next year. This situation could be an opportunity for Joshua to avenge his defeat as well as become a world champion again.

"We've done it (world champion) once. We then did it for the second time. Doing it for the third time is not easy, but I'm sure it's something I can achieve," said Joshua.

Joshua, who now has a record (28-4, 25 KOs), previously suffered his first defeat in June 2019 against Andy Ruiz Jr. He then avenge the defeat in the rematch in December of the same year.

AJ's second defeat occurred when he met the Ukraine champion, Oleksandr Usyk, in September 2021. Less than a year, both names returned to a duel, but Joshua lost again.
