Rudiger And Endrick Help Mbappe Win Madrid Over Stuttgart In The Champions League

JAKARTA - Kylian Mbappe almost failed to win Real Madrid. Luckily there were Antonio Rudiger and Endrick who also scored so Madrid finally beat VfB Stuttgart 3-1 in the Champions League match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Wednesday, September 18, 2024 in the morning WIB.

Madrid failed to show their best performance while playing at home. In the aftermath, the defending champion of the Champions League had to work hard to face Stuttgart's aggressive game.

However, Stuttgart failed to show consistency and finally conceded in the last minute. The German Bundesliga club also failed to score a surprise when they started the fight in European competitions.

Meanwhile, the struggling Madrid finally got through the first match with a satisfactory result.

Mbappe is even more productive in scoring goals with Los Merengues. After ending his infertility, the former Paris Saint-Germain star immediately routinely broke into the opponent's goal.

In that match, Stuttgart actually didn't feel awkward playing open to suppressing Madrid's defense. They immediately kicked off the opponent's defense.

Not only that, the visitors looked superior to Carlo Ancelotti's troops who were hot late while playing at home.

In the aftermath, goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had to work hard to save from the threat of Stuttgart's attack. Courtois did make Stuttgart's forward frustrated because their efforts could always be thwarted. The score is still a goalless draw after the first half.

The patience of the Madrid players finally paid off after Mbappe broke the deadlock when the game just started. The captain of the French national team managed to break into the opponent's goal after welcoming Rodrygo's assist in the 46th minute.

Winning 1-0 did not automatically make Madrid master the game. Stuttgart tried to get up by pressing the Los Blancos defense.

Their efforts were not in vain. Striker Denis Undav managed to equalize the score in the 68th minute. The goal started with Jamie Leweling's tandem pass which was greeted with a header by the German national team striker.

The score changed 1-1 and Stuttgart worked hard to keep it in order to steal points at home to Madrid. Sebastian Hoeness' team efforts almost paid off.

But when entering the final part of the match, Madrid broke the deadlock again. Rudiger successfully welcomed Modric's corner to make Madrid lead 2-1 in the 83rd minute.

Furthermore, the young striker Endrick solidified Madrid's advantage in injury time. The 18-year-old Brazilian national team striker came on to replace Jude Bellingham in the 80th minute. Then in the 90+5 minute, Endrick successfully broke into Stuttgart's goal.

This made Endric set a goal record in his Champions League debut. The 3-1 score for Madrid lasted until the game was over.
