YOGYAKARTA - PSIM Yogyakarta shows readiness to participate in the 2024/2025 Liga 2 competition. PSIM is increasingly confident in moving towards the league after getting the blessing and support of the King of Java, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X.

PSIM, one of the oldest clubs and the only PSSI founding fathers who are still struggling in the second caste competition. Especially after Persis Solo, who is also the founder of the federation, was successfully promoted to League 1.

However, PSIM still has a high spirit. The reason is, the club nicknamed Laskar Mataram has the full support of the people of Yogyakarta. Supporters, Brajamusti and Maident, are also ready to provide support for their favorite team to navigate the competition.

More than that, the highest leader of DIY, Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwana X, gave support for PSIM. Yes, Ngarsa Dalem, who is sometimes also called the King in Java, is very pleased with PSIM. This was revealed when PSIM sowan told Ngarso Dalem at the Yogyakarta Special Region Governor's Office, last week.

Laskar Mataram received many advice from Ngarsa Dalem. This advice is like psychological support from the king before starting the battle by facing Adhyaksa FC at the Mandala Krida Stadium, Yogyakarta, Sunday, September 15, 2024 afternoon WIB.

"Ngarsa Dalem gave many directions. What is mainly from the scouting side. Recruitment of players must be the main focus of PSIM. We are happy because the recruitment of PSIM players this season is in accordance with his mandate," he said.

After Sowan, the management of PSIM gave a hand to Ngarsa Dalem, who is also the Governor of DIY, in the form of jerseys for home and away, as well as tickets to watch PSIM Jogja matches for life.

Meanwhile, coach Seto Nurdiyantoro stated that the team had shown readiness for the first match of the league. Seto said the players were fully focused on the match. He has also finalized the tactical aspects and maintained the physical condition of the players.

"Our preparation is as usual by maintaining the physical condition of the players and more tactical exercises. We want the players to be mentally and physically ready for the first match," said Seto in Yogyakarta, Saturday, September 14, 2024.

However, Seto said that the players were not fit. This is indeed an obstacle, especially with the target of winning in the home match. Meanwhile, Japanese defender Yusaku Yamadera was absent from training because he had a fever.

"There are some players who are not fit, such as Pedro, Samuel, and several others. For Yusaku, we are still waiting for a recommendation from the doctor," he said.

Seto expressed optimism about playing the first match. "Optimism must always be brought in every match. But the most important thing is how the team can work well together on the field and achieve maximum results," said Seto.
