Sure, Dustin Poirier Confirms His Rematch Against Conor McGregor: July 3

JAKARTA - Dustin Poirier confirmed the date of his rematch against Conor McGregor. He said the trilogy battle will be held soon.

McGregor beat Poirier in his first fight which took place in 2014. Then, earlier this year, the American fighter avenged his defeat from The Notorious on Fight Island earlier this year.

Now, Poirier, who has expressed his desire for a trilogy bout against McGregor, appears to have confirmed the date of the fight.

On his Twitter account, the 32-year-old simply wrote “July 10” along with a diamond emoji associated with his nickname 'Diamond'. Speculation then arose that this date would be the time for his third fight with McGregor.

Previously, Adjarasport TV journalist Giorgi Kokiashvili reported that the Poirier versus McGregor duel was targeted to appear on July 10, 2021.

"I don't want to bother you, but according to a report by Adjarasport TV and my sources, Poirier vs McGregor 3 is targeted to appear on July 10," wrote Kokiashvili.

UFC President Dana White is currently at the center of negotiations. He revealed that the two of them really wanted to return to the Octagon.

"Dustin wants a rematch (with McGregor)," the MMA chief said earlier this month.

"It's a smart move. That's what he has to do. He has to do the rematch, have that fight. It's a big fight for him."

Poirier, meanwhile, opens the door to his third fight against McGregor last month.

His win over McGregor was the 27th win in his career from 34 fights.
