Indonesia U-17 Boosts Physical Exercises During TC In Bali

Indonesia U-17 is currently in physical training at TC in Bali (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - The U-17 Indonesian national team was forged in a training camp (TC) in Bali with various kinds of exercises. Coach Nova Arianto continues to finalize this team to make it more solid.

Nova revealed that his team is currently undergoing a general preparation phase.

"Finally we are now entering general preparations for the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup qualifiers in October 2024."

"So, we started TC in Bali with a focus on physically equalizing the basic players. You see, there are several new players, including old players who may be at their clubs with different training intensity," Nova said.

Nova Arianto further detailed the physical training material given to her foster children.

In one day, Garuda Muda is trained in four types of physical training in various places.

"I am grateful that in conditions, the old players are still in pretty good condition. However, there is still a gap between old players and new players."

"Hopefully, new players can work harder so that VO2 Max or physically can be the same later."

"We focus on the basic physical first. In Bali, in one day there are four exercises, namely in gyms, on beaches, cores, and hotels. The hope is that physically the basic players will be the same," said Nova Arianto on the PSSI website.

The training materials provided by Nova Arianto and the Indonesian U-17 coaching team were not only aimed at increasing endurance.

The strength of the player body is also a concern. You see, in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification, they will meet with opponents who are in greater posture.

"We tried that (training) so that players can play body-to-body in matches during the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification."

"Players can be even stronger. Hopefully players have strong enough bodies to be able to appear in these qualifications," said Nova.

Indonesia U-17 is in Group G in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup Qualification with Australia, Kuwait, and the North Mariana Islands. All parties will be held in Kuwait on 23-27 October 2024.
