JAKARTA - Do football lovers remember the name Paul Gascoigne? Definitely. Gazza - as he is called - is now 53 years old and a participant in the Italian version of the television show I'm A Celebrity.

Gazza's demeanor on the show has earned him many admirers. Most recently, there is the famous porn star Eva Hanger.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United star has won the hearts of fans with his appearance at Isola Dei Famosi, which in Indonesian means Star Island.

Eva Henger, 48, who made more than a dozen pornographic movies before turning to serious acting, admits that she admires Gazza's personality.

"I fell in love with Paul Gascoigne," he said as reported by the Daily Star, Monday, March 22.

"He's the number one person on the island and so funny, I can't stop laughing every time he says or does something," Eva said.

"To go forward and win, you have to be a character and have a personality and from what I see that's Gascoigne," Eva, who starred in the event three years ago, added.

Gazza joined the event, which lasted two months after going through a series of strenuous physical and mental tests. This show was filmed on the Cayos Cochinos archipelago off the coast of Honduras.

He horrified his campmates and onlookers earlier last week when revealing his favorite dish. It was ham and pineapple pizza, one of the banned foods in Italy and especially Naples where pizza was invented.

Diary footage released Saturday from the island shows the former England midfielder covering himself in shaving cream. Gazza thought it was sunscreen.

He was dropped overboard by helicopter during the first live show on Monday and forced to swim to his tropical island camp.
