Officially Become An Indonesian Citizen, Jens Raven Becomes Additional Strength In The Indonesian National Team's Serang Line

Jens Raven officially became an Indonesian citizen (doc. PSSI).

JAKARTA - Good news has returned for the Indonesian national team along with the increasing number of members to strengthen the team. Jens Raven, who has officially assumed the status of an Indonesian citizen (WNI) and can increase the strength of the Garuda Squad's attack line.

Jens Raven is an 18-year-old player who is currently defending FC Dordrecht. He has officially assumed the status of an Indonesian citizen after completing the oath-taking process. The agenda was held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 in Jakarta.

By taking the oath of Indonesian citizens, Jens Raven's naturalization process was also completed. The player also felt that this moment was an important step as well as marking a new commitment to developing Indonesian football.

Raven's presence added to the livelyness of the Garuda squad on the front lines. PSSI General Chairperson (Ketum) Erick Thohir welcomed the striker's presence.

"I certainly welcome the presence of Jens Raven, a young player to add to the Indonesian national team squad, both U-19 and senior Indonesian national team coatings who really need quality players," said Erick Thohir, quoted from a statement received Thursday, June 27, 2024.

"Especially after we added a lot of defenders, the presence of Jens who used to play in the front lines, we really need it," he said.

The Dordrecht U-21 player is indeed included in the Garuda Nusantara Squad for the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup. Previously, Raven also took part when the U-20 Indonesian national team competed in the 2024 Toulon Cup or Maurice Revello Tournament in France.

Raven's presence could certainly add many choices for the spearhead. Moreover, the Garuda squad needed attack line ammunition with a capable posture. Jens Raven is clearly in the criteria because he is 1.89 meters in position.
