Como Promotion Team Wants To Sign Veteran Striker Alexis Sanchez

JAKARTA - Italian Serie A promotion club, Como, plans to recruit Sanchez. Como did not spend a penny to get the 35-year-old striker.

The reason is, Sanchez, former colleague of coach Como Cesc Fabregas at Barcelona, has been released by Inter Milan. His contract at Inter itself expires on June 30, 2024.

In the 2023/2024 season when Inter won the Scudetto, the Chile international scored four goals and made five assists from 33 matches.

Even though he doesn't play at Inter, Sanchez doesn't intend to retire or leave Italy. The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker still hopes to continue playing in Serie A.

Sanchez has also been linked with two promotional teams, Parma and Como. However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, a player transfer expert, Sanchez is more interested in joining Como, a club supported by the Indonesian company, Djarum.

Sanchez himself played with Fabregas at Barca from 2011 to 2014. They worked hand in hand to bring Barca to win La Liga.

From Barca, Sanchez then moved to the English Premier League to strengthen Arsenal. Next, he moved to MU.

When joining Como, the striker nicknamed El Nino Maravilla does not need to change houses. The reason is, he has a residence in the Lombardi area which is Como's headquarters.

Only Como will compete with a number of clubs targeting Sanchez. Apart from Parma, La Liga Real Betis is interested in recruiting him.

His old club, River Plate also wants to bring back Sanchez. Even this Argentine club has had talks with Sanchez representatives.

The club conducted an assessment of the possibility of Sanchez returning to the River Plate. Sanchez itself will still compete in the Copa America by strengthening Chile.
