Pratama Arhan 4 Minutes Debut Directly Red Card, Suwon FC Coach: Hopefully Become An Experience

JAKARTA - Suwon FC coach Kim Eun-jung conveyed an important message to Pratama Arhan after the red card he received in his debut with the team. The coach hopes that the moment will be a lesson that makes the player grow.

Previously, it was known that Pratama Arhan had just made his Suwon FC debut in the Korean League (K-League 1) on Sunday, May 26, 2024. In addition to the bitter final result because the team lost 0-1, there were other moments that Arhan also experienced.

The Indonesian national team player was given a red card by the referee. In fact, this match was his debut and only appeared four minutes on the field in the middle of the second half.

Regarding Arhan's bitter situation in his first debut,-Kim Eun-jung said that the player had actually tried hard. Unintentionally, he had to be issued by the referee.

Even so, the coach said there was a positive side for Arhan. He wants this incident to be a lesson so that the player can grow in his career.

"He (Pratama Arhan) has tried, worked hard, and was accidentally removed (the referee). I hope he can grow towards another level through this experience," said Kim Eun-jung as reported by Naver on Monday, May 27, 2024.

Arhan was deliberately installed as a substitute in the match. Kim Eun-jung entered it in the 72nd minute replacing Jeong Dong-ho.

However, his action to seize the ball in the opponent's play area resulted in a violation of Jeju United's player, Rim Chang-woo.

This incident occurred on the right side of the Jeju United defense. Arhan's feet were seen tackled Chang-woo's leg, who was trying to protect the ball, causing his opponent to fall.

After that moment, referee Kim Woo-sung decided to see the incident through VAR. After the match was delayed for three minutes, the referee finally decided to give Pratama Arhan a direct red card.

The defeat to Jeju United made Suwon FC stuck in fifth place with a collection of 21 points. Suwon FC failed to take advantage of the opportunity to move up to the top four.
