The Condition Of The SUGBK Grass Is Bad During The U-20 Indonesia Trial To Reap The Highlights

JAKARTA - Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta, is the venue for the U-20 vs Thailand U-20 Indonesian national team trial match on Friday, January 26, 2024.

Football observer, Kesit B Handoyo, reacted. He considered the poor SUGBK field because the GBK management was not strict in regulating the use of stadiums that can currently be used by anyone as long as they were able to pay their rent.

"The manager of the Bung Karno Gelora Complex (PPKGBK), especially those responsible for SUGBK, should be stricter in the regulation of use or field rental."

"This means that you cannot use any time or use it when it rains. In fact, it takes a long time after using it outside of football activities," said Kesit.

Kesit further understands that the management of the GBK Complex, especially SUGBK, needs income for maintenance costs.

However, according to him, enforcement of rules and strict conditions are still needed regarding who and the right time to use the field in SUGBK.

"We are not closing our eyes that GBK managers need stadium maintenance costs. Moreover, this stadium is not only used for sports, but also for other activities or music concerts."

"However, there must still be strict rules regarding when to use and anyone else so that when the Indonesian national team will use it for matches the conditions are not as bad as this (when Indonesia U-20 vs Thailand U-20)," he said.

The poor grass conditions of SUGBK were seen during the trial match. There are many points, both the center of the field and the back which are close to both sides of the goal, clearly visible grass.
