League Results 1: Just Draw With PSS Sleman 1-1, Stay In 10th Position

JAKARTA - Persis Solo was held to a 1-1 draw by PSS Sleman in the 19th week of Liga 1 2023/2023 at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Wednesday, November 8, 2023 evening WIB.

The hosts took the lead through Fernando Rodriguez's quick goal when the game had only been running for 12 minutes. The Argentine broke into the opponent's goal maximizing Alexis Messidoro's pass.

Meanwhile, a return goal from the visitors occurred in the extra minutes of the second half. They were saved by Irkham Zahrul Mila in the 91st minute.

PSS Sleman played with 10 players, the 95th minute due to Ricky Cawor getting a red card. Luckily they didn't concede again in a situation that lost the number of players.

An additional one point makes Persis now sit in tenth position in the standings. They collected 24 points and were adrift in goal difference from Dewa United who were in one place above them.

Meanwhile, this result made PSS Sleman stay in 14th position. Bertrand Crasson's troops collected 20 points.

In the following week, PSS Sleman will act as host for Barito Putera. Meanwhile, Persis will play an away match to Borneo FC headquarters.

The away match will be a tough test for Persis. The reason is, currently Borneo dominates the top of the standings with a collection of 38 points.
