2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix, Max Verstappen Confirms His 17th Win of the Season

JAKARTA - Red Bull Racing driver, Max Verstappen, performed outstanding when he won the dominating victory in the 2023 Sao Paulo Grand Prix. This result marked Verstappen's 17th victory in the 2023 season, which created a new record in the history of Formula 1.

At the beginning of this race, it seemed less interesting because Charles Leclerc had problems with hydraulics during lap formations and was forced to withdraw. This forced the Ferrari rider to pull over before the race started.

When the start light went out, Verstappen immediately made a clean start that led him to the leading position. However, behind him, there was a major collision between Alex Albon and Kevin Magnussen, which resulted in the red flag being flown.

At the restart of the race, Verstappen once again made an extraordinary start and managed to maintain his P1 position. He continued his journey towards his second win this weekend, having previously won in Sprint on Saturday.

Lando Norris finished second with a solid performance, while Fernando Alonso managed to secure third place after containing fierce attacks from Sergio Perez to finish line.

Aston Martin also added their points through Lance Stroll who finished fifth, ahead of single Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz, who finished sixth.

Pierre Gasly became the leading Alpine driver in seventh place, while Lewis Hamilton ended a difficult day for the Mercedes team to finish in eighth. Yuki Tsunoda and Esteban Ocon complete the top ten.

Loganulant came close to picking up points in 11th place, while Nico Hulkenberg finished in 12th place, both of them competing alone for their respective teams.

Daniel Ricciardo and Oscar Piastri are the last two drivers to finish the race in 13th and 14th positions. The two Australians suffered damage to their cars as a result of the incident at the first corner, but they managed to repair their cars during the red flag period.

At the Sao Paolo GP, several drivers were forced to fail to finish, including George Russell, who had to enter the pit due to oil temperature problems after a difficult race. The duets of Alfa Romeo's riders, Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu, also had to be sidelined due to technical problems. Kevin Magnussen and Alex Albon also failed to finish after their collisions on the first lap, while Charles Leclerc had failed to compete from the start due to problems during the lap formation.

The Sao Paulo 2023 Grand Prix is one of the full-of-action and drama races, in which Max Verstappen managed to strengthen his dominance this season with an impressive victory. This victory not only adds to Verstappen's achievements, but also creates a historic moment in the history of Formula 1.
