Fury Is Told To Retire If He Doesn't Rematch Ngannou's Opponent

JAKARTA Former British boxer George Groves advised Tyson Fury to retire if he didn't want a rematch against Francis Ngannou.

Fury has just won over Ngannou through a narrow victory (split decision), Sunday, October 29, 2023. However, many think Ngannou is more worthy of winning.

In the duel, Fury was made to fall in the third round before rising to win the duel. After this Fury will enter the ring to fight Usyk in the next fight.

Groves mengatakan bahwa sekarang kemungkinannya sangat kecil Fury mau naik ring melawan Usyk setelah hasil melawan Ngannou. Untuk itu, Fury sebaiknya duel ulang melawan Ngannou atau pensiun.

"There is no possibility that Usyk's match will take place on that date. Not Usyk on December 23, I don't think Usyk will be next," he said as quoted by Sky Sport.

Fury and Usyk will seek to unify all heavyweight titles to win the status of heavyweight champions is undisputed.

The two fighters were originally scheduled to enter the ring earlier this year. However, their negotiations encountered obstacles so that they canceled their heavyweight title unification.

Groves predicts Usyk will beat Fury if both duels. Therefore, Fury is expected to think about going up for a heavyweight unification.

"He told everyone he was the King ofTEN, that he was the one, no fighter could beat him. Right now there is someone who can beat him and that is Usyk," said Groves.
