Ancelotti Shocked, Bellingham Who Brought Real Madrid To Win El Clasico

JAKARTA - The el Clasico match, which brings together two Spanish La Liga giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona, is certain to bring high tension and emotion. However, young Jude Bellingham showed maturity by bringing Madrid a 2-1 win over Barca in a duel at the Olympic Stadium Lluis Companys, Saturday, October 28 evening WIB. Even coach Carlo Ancelotti was surprised by the performance of his players.

Ancelotti did not hesitate to praise Bellingham for showing maturity and not losing his sharpness in the big match. Heavy mental pressure due to making his el clasico debut can be easily passed by this 20-year-old player.

Not to mention Bellingham, which actually still needs time to adapt to Spanish football since being recruited from Borussia Dortmund earlier this season. However, this England winger has no trouble adapting to the La Liga competition.

Bellingham was also seen immediately checking with the team when Ancelotti placed him as an attracting midfielder behind Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo.

Ancelotti did not hesitate to praise Bellingham's performance which he called'stupendous' and played like a veteran in el clasico.

"(Bellingham) looks like a veteran. This is because of the attitude he showed in a match that was not easy for us. It was his first goal to change everything," said Ancelotti.

"I have to admit we are all surprised by his outstanding performances, especially his level of play and effectiveness. He is always in every corner of the pitch," said the former AC Milan coach.

"In this match, he was really'stupendous' (very amazing) with his very beautiful goal from outside the penalty box," said the former Chelsea and Everton manager.

Bellingham's goal at el clasico made himself have collected 10 goals. He became La Liga's top scorer by beating Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann who scored seven goals.

"Bellingham seems to be able to easily score 20 or 25 goals this season. Although we don't expect him to be a goalscorer, he has scored many goals. We also hope for goals from strikers," said Ancelotti again.

Bellingham's praise was also conveyed by veteran midfielder Luka Modric. According to him Bellingham seems to have played in Madrid for a long time.

"He seems to have played here for a long time and not for three months. He shows a very good personality and character. He has adapted well," said Modric.

"He's a player with special talent. In fact, I'm sure he himself doesn't even believe he can score a lot of goals," he said.

Victory at el clasico brought Madrid back to the top of the standings by shifting Girona. Now, Madrid have 28 points the same as Girona, but Madrid are ahead on goal difference. Barca, who are in third place, pocketed 24.
