Barcelona's Series Of Victorys Stopped Due To Less Wise Mistakes

JAKARTA - Barcelona are still not out of the La Liga this season, but their series of six wins ended on Wednesday, September 27 in the morning WIB. Barcelona only drew 2-2 with Real Mallorca on Son Moix.

The hosts took the lead twice through Vedat Muriqi and Abdon Prats, but Barcelona could always get up and equalize. Goals from Raphinha and Fermin Lopez saved the Blaugrana.

It was a frustrating night for Barcelona. The coach, Xavi Hernandez told the media after the game that it was a game his team should have won. He felt his team made too many mistakes for 90 minutes.

"This is an inadequate point, and it was caused by our own mistakes. The second goal they scored was an unwise mistake," Xavi said, as reported by Football Espana.

Xavi certainly has reason to be angry. Mallorca's first goal came from the carelessness of the defense. While their second goal came from a long pass completed by Prats.

Barcelona must rise soon. They will face Sevilla at the Olympic Stadium on Friday.

Barcelona is currently still at the top of the standings with 17 points. However, they could have been shifted by Girona and Real Madrid if the two teams were able to win in the early hours of the match.
