After Odegaard, Arsenal Prepare Zinchenko And Ben White's New Contracts

JAKARTA Arsenal are reportedly ready to discuss the extension of Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ben White's contracts. Both can follow in the footsteps of Marten Odegaard.

Previously, The Gunners announced that Odegaard had signed a new contract until the summer of 2028. The Arsenal captain is said to be the highest-paid player at the club.

He is the latest player willing to continue to be committed to the team. In the last 12 months, Gabriel Magalhaes, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, William Saliba and Reiss Nelson have all signed new contracts with Arsenal.

According to Football Insider, Arsenal will now distract them to secure Zinchenko and White's long-term futures.

After arriving on permanent status from Manchester City last summer, Zinchenko still has a remaining three-year contract. The Ukrainian international has been one of the keys to Arteta's squad, and the Gunners want to offer him a deal that reflects his status at the club.

Zinchenko has made 38 appearances in all competitions, scoring one goal and two assists. Like his teammate, Ben White was also under contract until June 2026 after signing a five-year contract upon arrival from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2021.

White is also considered an important figure in Arsenal's team, as evidenced by the fact that he played in 38 Premier League games last season. This versatile defender also plays every minute of the season, and is often installed as a centre-back and right-back at the start of the season.

While Arsenal officials are working on a new deal for Zinchenko and White, Arteta is currently focusing on preparing his team for the first North London derby this season, with the Gunners facing Tottenham Hotspur at the Emirates Stadium, Sunday, September 24, western Indonesia time.
