Both Old, Tyson Fury's Father Challenges Mike Tyson To A Duel In The Boxing Ring

JAKARTA - Boxing legend Mike Tyson is busy with the agenda of training Francis Ngannou who will fight Tyson Fury, October in Saudi Arabia. In the midst of that busyness, Tyson got a duel challenge from Fury's father.

"If the old legend decides to fight again, now he faces a challenge from John Fury, the father of The Gypsy King (Tyson Fury)," said a report quoted by Sportskeeda on Wednesday, September 6.

John Fury, who dared to throw an offer for Tyson, was not just anyone, he was also a former boxer. He was very vocal about wanting to fight anyone.

In an interview with SecondsOut, John offered to fight Tyson in the undercard at the upcoming October 2023 event.

"I love that guy (Mike Tyson), if he wants to fight me in Undercard, he can. No problem. You know, I'm a fighter," said John Fury.

John Fury's wish turned out not to be due to his second background as the ring champion, but his age reason.

"I'm old but I'm a fighter, he's a fighter but he's old. We're two geriatrics. If he wants to do something, we can do it," said the 59-year-old figure.

Mike Tyson decided to retire after losing to Kevin McBride in 2005. However, 15 years later Mike Tyson returned to the ring.

Surprisingly Tyson faced Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round fight despite the draw.

Even so, the event, which was held in 2020, was a great success and was clearly entertaining. After that Mike Tyson continued to hint at wanting to box again, but always failed.
