JAKARTA - Asia Road Championship (ARRC) racer from Malaysia, Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin admitted that he was devastated and saddened by the death of Haruki Noguchi. The reason is, he took part in the death of the Japanese racer.
Haruki Noguchi breathed his last after an accident in the fourth round of the 2023 Asia Road Championship (ARRC) which took place at the Mandalika Circuit, West Nusa Tenggara, Sunday, August 13.
The incident that took Noguchi's life began when the Japanese racer fell as his motorbike was hit by the rear tire of Zaqhwan Zaidi at Turn 10. Zaqhwan Zaidi then slipped and dropped off the track, while Noguchi fell on the track.
In the midst of the ongoing race, Kasma Daniel passed at the accident point at high speed. Accidentally ran over Noguchi's head.
The rider immediately received serious treatment at the hospital but could not be helped after several days of treatment.
The incident on the track then became a big regret for the former Moto2 rider. He couldn't hide his sadness over what happened to Noguchi at the Mandalika Circuit.
"I can't say anything. I don't know how to express apologies for what happened," Kasma Daniel said on his personal Instagram quoted Friday, August 18.
In the midst of uncertain feelings, Kasma Daniel then recalled Haruki Noguchi's greatness while riding a motorcycle on the track. He will also continue to remember and continue Noguchi's spirit in his career.
