Hojlund Contracted By The Red Devils With A Banderol Of IDR 1.3 Trillion For 5 Years

JAKARTA Manchester United officially brought in Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund for 72 million (Rp1.3 trillion) from Atalanta. 20 years old, who joined the Serie A team in 2022 and scored 10 goals in 34 appearances last season, moving to Old Trafford on a five-year contract. "It's no secret that I've been a fan of this great club since I was a kid," Hojlund said as reported by BBC Sport. "I dream of walking out of Old Trafford as a Manchester United player," he added. Hojlund is the third summer signing brought in by Red Devils coach Erik ten Hag. Previously, the Dutch tactician had bought Mason Mount from Chelsea for a transfer value of 55 million and Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana with a transfer value of 47.2 million. "He's a real forward. We need him. I think he has enormous potential," said Ten Hag. Manchester United's success in getting Hojlund made Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) bite his finger. The French giant was previously interested in Hojlund as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe, whose future is still unclear.

Hojlund will miss the early weeks of the 2023/2024 season after suffering minor injuries during pre-season training with Atalanta.Hojlund started his senior career at Copenhagen. He made his Danish Superliga debut at the age of 17 in 2020 before moving to the Austrian team, Sturm Graz. He spent only six months at the Austrian Bundesliga after joining Sturm in January 2022, but scored 12 goals in 21 games for the club.
