Meeting King Charles III, President Prabowo: He Cares For The Environment, Forest And Nature Conservation

JAKARTA - President Prabowo discussed environmental issues to nature preservation, when he met King Charles III at Buckingham Palace, London Thursday.

"This is an honorary visit," said President Prabowo, quoted from the Presidential Secretariat's YouTube channel, Friday, November 22.

"He is very concerned about the environment, about the preservation of forests, the preservation of nature, there we have many similarities. I said support and say we will work together. He suggested I meet with several figures from a network he had built for years, to advance this issue," explained President Prabowo.

On this occasion, President Prabowo invited King Charles III to come to Indonesia. It is known, when he was still a Prince, King Charles III visited Indonesia twice, namely 1989 and 2008.

"He has been to Indonesia twice and I invited him to come again," said President Prabowo.

As previously reported, President Prabowo Subianto and his entourage arrived at Stansted Airport, London, England, Thursday to fulfill King Charles III' invitation.

The arrival of the Head of State was welcomed by Representatives from the United Kingdom Charles Anderson DL, Special Representative to the British Foreign Minister Adele Taylor MBE, British Ambassador to Indonesia Jermey CVO OBE, Indonesian Ambassador to London Desra Believe, and Defense Attache to the Indonesian Embassy in London Colonel Faishal Ridlwan.

During this visit, President Prabowo Subianto is scheduled to hold a number of meetings, including King Charles III, British Prime Minister (PM) Keir Starmer, and British Deputy PM Angela Rayner.

In addition, President Prabowo is also scheduled to attend the CEO of the Roundtable Forum.
