Bali United Lost When Watched By 3 Thousand Supporters, Teco: We Have To Apologize

GIANYAR - Bali United had to lose 0-1 when they hosted PSS Sleman at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium in the inaugural match of Liga 1 2023/2024. This defeat is certainly a painful thing for Serdadu Tridatu because it happened in front of his own supporters.

A total of 3,450 spectators watched the team's inaugural match at the Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, in the midst of heavy rains.

Bali United coach, Stefano Cugurra, then apologized to supporters who had watched the match at the stadium.

"We have to apologize to the supporters who came," Cugurra said at a press conference after the match.

The Brazilian coach admitted that there were many opportunities that should have been used to score goals. However, their efforts were stopped by the visitors' tenacity.

Not only that, the coach who is familiarly called Coach Teco admitted that his team made their own mistakes so that the goal guarded by Adilson Marigga was scored by PSS Sleman midfielder Ricky Cawor.

Even so, he believes that there are still many opportunities that must be won for the Indonesian League 1 champions for the 2019 and 2022 seasons, because the match period in the elite Indonesian football club competition is still long.

"We have to accept defeat, we have to look ahead. This is the first game in the league, we have to fix the team," he added.

In the next match, Bali United will face Borneo FC at the Segiri Stadium, Samarinda on Saturday, July 8, at 19.00 WIB or 20.00 WITA.
