Care For The Peak Of The Arsenal Standings, While You Can

JAKARTA - Arsenal returned to the top of the standings after beating Chelsea in Week 34 of the English Premier League. In the match titled the London derby at the Emirates Stadium, Wednesday, May 3, in the early hours of the WIB, the Gunners won 3-1.

Martin Odegaard scored two goals in this match. While the other goal was scored by Gabriel Jesus.

Meanwhile Chelsea could only reduce the gap in the second half through Noni Madueke's goal.

The three additional points made Arsenal now back in the first position in the standings with 78 points from 34 matches. They are two points ahead of Manchester City who are in second place.

However, Arsenal could be evicted again because City has only played 32 times. This means that The Citizens still have two more matches left.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta asked his team to enjoy the top of the standings they currently sit on. He also hopes that the Gunners can take advantage of all the opportunities they have to stay there.

"There are still four more games, we are at the top now. We can't do that (head down), to be where we are after 10 months against the team we are fighting, to be there and have the possibility to be at the top," said Arteta.

"We have to enjoy it and accept it, maximize the opportunities we have because we don't know what will happen. We want to have a very different game approach, and we did it from the start."

Arteta then said that his team had found their best form again after slumping in the last few matches.

"We want to prove that we have the spirit. I can see it in the last few days, and we are well prepared for the game," said the Spanish manager.

"Men mentally we arrived in the right mood and with the right energy level. Everything is going for us too, that's what matters."

"We had a difficult few weeks with very different games, with a lot of emotions involved. We're back to the top of the league let's see what happens later."

Meanwhile, Chelsea are getting worse in 12th position with 39 points. Frank Lampard has yet to win in six Premier League matches since returning to coach his former club.
