PSSI KLB Has Not Yet Started, Candidates For Ketum Have Decreased

JAKARTA - Fary Djemy Francis announced that he has officially resigned from the PSSI General Chair (Ketum) nomination market. It was announced on Wednesday, February 15 afternoon or one day before the PSSI Extraordinary Congress (KLB).

"Today, Wednesday, February 15, 2023, or the day before the Extraordinary Congress - the day of determining the future of Indonesian football, I, Fary Djemi Francis, decided: I resigned from the nomination of PSSI General Chairperson 2023-2027," said Fary Djemy Francis in a statement received by Voi, Wednesday, February 15 afternoon WIB.

"I also withdrew from the nomination of Deputy General Chair and Exco," Fary continued in a statement.

In this statement of resignation, Fary firmly gave support to SOE Minister Erick Thohir, who was one of four rivals in hunting for PSSI's number one seat.

Fary gave this support because he saw Erick as a figure worthy of leading PSSI compared to other candidates. He also left the future of football to 87 voters, and the elected Exco members later.

Fary's decision was quite surprising because on Monday, February 13 he was still performing and reading out his vision and mission to compete to occupy the PSSI-1 seat. Fary himself is not a new figure in the PSSI election congress.

At the 2019 KLB, Fary also ran for general chairman. Unfortunately at that time Fary failed because he did not get one vote during the election.
