Harry Maguire Advised Not to Return to Manchester United after the 2022 World Cup

JAKARTA - England national team defender Harry Maguire has been advised to leave Manchester United and join Tottenham Hotspur.

Maguire has lost his place at Erik ten Hag's MU because his form has fallen so badly. However, the 29-year-old player actually showed off with the England national team after gaining the trust of Gareth Southgate.

He was one of the Three Lions players whose performance received praise at the 2022 World Cup even though his team only lasted until the quarter-finals.

Ten Hag has challenged Maguire to put in the same form at the club. However, some think that the former Leicester player prefers to leave.

Former Rangers player, Ally McCoist, believes that Maguire will get more opportunities to play if he moves to another club. Tottenham can provide that opportunity.

"I think he will go. He wants to play", McCoist said as reported by The Sun. "I don't think there's any guarantee he'll be back playing at Manchester United, not in front of (Raphael) Varane and (Lisandro) Martinez."

He said that Maguire would not be able to go to Arsenal because he was not good enough for the Premier League standings leader.

"I think he's good enough for Spurs. Arsenal? Maybe not at the moment", he said.

"However, he has been one of the best players in the World Cup", continued the Scottish football legend.
