JAKARTA - Chelsea made a surprising decision. The Premier League team sacked Thomas Tuchel from the club's manager position.
This dismissal was 24 hours from Chelsea's defeat in the first match of the Champions League. As is known, the Blues lost 0-1 to Dinamo Zagreb, Wednesday 7 September this morning.
"Chelsea has split today with team manager Thomas Tuchel", the club said in a statement on their website.

Chelsea management said the change of manager could not be separated from new holdings. The new owner believes this is the right time to make a transition to the manager's seat.
For the time being, the team will be held by the existing coaching staff. The club's management will move quickly to appoint a new manager.
"There will be no further comments until a new manager is appointed", the statement concluded.
