Barcelona's Intention To 'Throw Away' Martin Braithwaite Is Hampered By The Blessing Of The Player Who Asks For Compensation Of IDR 272 Billion

JAKARTA - Barcelona is reportedly going to make a team overhaul after the arrival of a number of new players. Several old players who were not included in the coach's project, Xavi Hernandez, would be kicked out.

Martin Braithwaite is believed to be one of the players not included in Xavi's plans. Barcelona was already prepared to let him go.

However, this intention cannot be carried out as easily as turning the palm of the hand. There are things that hinder the club management to "throw away" Braithwaite.

The player is reportedly reluctant to leave the club before his demands are met. The Danish player's demands are based on his contract which is valid until 2024.

Braithwaite wants Barcelona to pay him a full two years' wages, according to the remainder of his current contract.

With that situation, Barcelona offered another option for the player to be willing to leave. The Blaugrana proposed terminating his contract with a year's worth of wages.

Braithwaite persisted in refusing and staunchly wanted his salary to be paid in full for two years.

Braithwaite's salary at Barcelona alone reaches 9 million euros or IDR 136 billion per season. If the club is willing to comply with this demand, it means Braithwaite will get 18 million euros or IDR 272 billion from the remaining two years of his contract.
