Ronaldo Flies To Manchester United Today, Urges Team Management To Let Him Go

JAKARTA - Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly flew to Manchester to urge the management of Manchester United to want to let him go in the transfer market this summer.

According to some reports, the 37-year-old superstar will travel to England on Tuesday, July 26 local time.

Once there he will hold talks regarding his future with the Red Devils. He reportedly will inform the club that he will not accept their new contract offer.

Ronaldo's future to this day continues to be an enigma. He had previously missed Manchester United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia for 'family reasons'.

The former Real Madrid player reportedly asked MU to immediately accept an offer that was suitable for him. He wants to move permanently so he can continue to play in the European Champions League.

United have missed out on the competition having finished last season in sixth place in the Premier League table. The result made the team only play in the second tier of Europe, namely the Europa League.

Ronaldo himself has never played in the Europa League in his illustrious career. However, United are adamant they don't want to sell him as their new coach Erik ten Hag has included him in the team's plans for next season.

The Dutch coach has repeatedly tried to convince Ronaldo to stay. However, if he still wants to leave, United is reportedly willing to accept a loan move for next season.

Ronaldo and Ten Hag spoke at the end of last season. However, there has been no communication since the five-time Ballon d'Or winner said he wanted to be sold this summer.

Ronaldo was later linked with Atletico Madrid so he could play in Europe's top club competition. However, the club's supporters are reportedly busy rejecting the former rival of their city team.

Atletico is the latest team to be linked with CR7 after Bayern Munich and Napoli. However, so far no agreement has materialized.
