Miguel Oliveira Admits Had Casual Chat With Gresini Racing: My Goal Is To Ride A Competitive Motorcycle, In This Case Ducati

JAKARTA - The Portuguese racer, Miguel Oliveira, did not deny that he had communicated with Gresini Racing. However, he admitted that there was no serious discussion at that time.

Miguel Oliveira said the small meeting was done to get to know each other. He did not deny that he was eyeing the seat of Gresini Racing for MotoGP 2023.

According to him, Gresini Racing can realize what is its goal in MotoGP, which is to provide a competitive motorbike to win races.

"My goal is to ride a competitive bike. In the current case, it's Ducati. It looks like there is still one seat left in the Gresini team," Miguel Oliveira told Sky Sport MotoGP.

"We had a small meeting, we wanted to get to know each other, we sat together and talked. Nothing serious yet, so my future is still open."

"My goal is to ride a bike capable of winning races."

Miguel Oliveira certainly will not be with KTM again in MotoGP 2023. The Austrian factory team has officially signed Jack Miller from Ducati.

The Australian rider signed a contract until MotoGP 2024. Next season, he will duet with Brad Binder at KTM.
