JAKARTA - Chelsea has officially been sold to a consortium led by American investor Todd Boehly and private equity firm Clearlake Capital. The Blues were released at a price of 4.25 billion pounds or IDR 78 trillion.

"Along with our commitment to developing a young squad and acquiring the best talent, our plan is to invest in the club for the long term and build on Chelsea's incredible history of success," said Boehly.

Abramovich bought Chelsea for £140 million (IDR 2.5 trillion) in 2003. Under his ownership, the club has won several major trophies, namely the Champions League trophy, five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two Europa League trophies, and three trophies. EFL Cup.
