JAKARTA - Tiger Woods recorded the worst two rounds of his career at The Masters last weekend, but the 15-time major champion has moved up 228 places in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Citing Antara, Tuesday, April 12, Woods, who has not played a competitive round since the 2020 Masters, which was played in November of that year, last week is still ranked 973rd.
But now he has pushed his way up to 745th after finishing 47th in the golf tournament at Augusta National in Georgia, USA.
That's much lower than the world number 1 he held for 679 weeks.
However, the 46-year-old's ability to compete has been questioned since nearly losing his leg in a car crash 14 months ago.
Woods is unlikely to get close to a full PGA Tour schedule, but after Sunday's round he has confirmed he will play in The Open Championship at St. Andrews in July.
Meanwhile, Scottie Scheffler is increasingly gripping the top spot after winning the Masters last week.
Having only been ranked 1st last week, Scheffler is now 180.17 points ahead of Collin Morikawa who slipped to 2nd place in the world after finishing fifth in the Masters.
