Orleans Masters Semifinals: Indonesia Drops 3 Representatives

JAKARTA - The quarter-finals of the 2022 Orleans Masters have been completed on Friday, April 1. Three representatives of Indonesia managed to advance to the semifinals which took place on Saturday, April 2 at the Palais des Sports, Orleans.

Indonesia's first representative to ensure the semifinal ticket came from the women's singles sector. Facing Estonia's representative, Kristin Kuuba, Putri Kusuma Wardani managed to secure a ticket to the semifinals after winning two straight games with a score of 21-5 and 21-17.

Furthermore, the mixed doubles sector also did not want to be left behind to take part in the semifinals this Saturday. Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto/Lisa Ayu Kusumawati secured their place after an easy win over the mixed pair Anton Kaisti/Alzbeta Basova with the final score 21-18 and 21-10 reported via WBF.

The next Indonesian representative came from the men's singles sector. Being the only Indonesian representative in this sector, Christian Adinata defeated the host representative Arnaud Merkle through three games 10-21, 21-18, and 21-16 in order to appear in the semifinals.

The semifinals of the Orleans Masters will take place on Saturday, April 2, starting at 16.30 p.m. Indonesian Western Time (WIB) and 21.30 p.m. Women's KW will face Norwegian third seed Line Hojmark Kjaersfeldt.

Rehan/Lisa will face Malaysia's Roy King Yap/Teoh Mei Xing, while Christian will face India's Mithun Manjunath in men's singles.
