Detained For Violence, Greenwood Released On Parole

JAKARTA - Manchester United striker Mason Greenwood, who was detained by the police for violence against his girlfriend, is now free. Pending further investigation of the case, Greenwood was released on bail.

Quoted from Sky News, Thursday, Greenwood's release was conveyed by the Greater Manchester Police on Wednesday, February 2.

"The 20-year-old man arrested on charges of rape and violence against women has been released on bail pending further investigation," Greater Manchester Police said in a statement.

Greenwood was previously arrested by the police on Sunday, January 30. The arrest of the 20-year-old player was the aftermath of the circulation of a video of his lover claiming to be a victim of Greenwood's violence.

Greenwood's arrest was based on charges of rape and violence. Two days later, Greenwood was also charged with sexual assault and death threats.
