Shin Tae-yong Reveals Noise At The National Team Hotel Staying, Someone Drunk Is Very Noisy

JAKARTA - The coach of the Indonesian national team, Shin Tae-yong, complained about the condition of the hotel where the national team stayed while participating in the 2020 AFF Cup competition. According to him, the hotel situation was often not conducive to disrupting the players' rest.

Shin Tae-yong also regretted the location of his squad's rooms which were on the same floor as the general visitors. Because there are often noises and even drunken visitors.

"On weekends, hotel residents hold parties. Some are drunk too. They are very noisy and disturb our team's rest", said Shin Tae-yong, quoted by Antara on Sunday, December 2.

In fact, it was previously known that the 2020 AFF Cup competition implemented a bubble system to maintain strict health protocols. Where according to the coach, the hotel environment should also be monitored with sterile and strict.

"In the future, there must be improvements in this matter so that the participating teams can fully focus on the match", he said.

Not only disappointed with the state of the hotel where the national team was staying, but Shin Tae-yong also criticized the attitude of the 2020 AFF Cup committee which he considered less than ideal. In this case, it is related to the committee's decision to announce the ban on playing for the four national team officials who are too tight.

Where the new committee said that Elkan Baggott, Victor Igbonefo, Rizky Ridho, and Rizky Dwi were declared sanctioned the morning before the match. They were punished for violating the protocol and bubble rules.

In fact, the coach said the moment his players left the hotel occurred on December 15. Also, the four players only went to the minimarket near the hotel to buy personal necessities that were out of stock.

In the aftermath of the sanctions, four players were absent from the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final between the national team and Thailand. Without their presence, the national team is quite overwhelmed.

It was proven that until the end of the match, the Garuda Squad was only able to hold Thailand to a 2-2 draw. The result still makes the national team lose on aggregate and automatically eliminates hopes of bringing home the winning trophy.
