Inaugurate Listyo Sigit Prabowo As Chairman Of PB ISSI, This Is Marciano Norman's Hope

JAKARTA - General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) Lieutenant General TNI Retired Marciano Norman inaugurated and inaugurated Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo as Chairman of the Executive Board of the Indonesian Cycling Association (PB ISSI) for the 2021-2025 term at the Mandarin Hotel, Jakarta on December 11, 2021.

According to the Head of the Central KONI, the position of the Chairperson of PB ISSI can have an impact on the development of bicycle sports in the country. "If the Indonesian Cycling Association wants to take off, now is the most appropriate time, because there is Mr. Sigit with his staff spread throughout Indonesia who can also provide support for cycling sports," said the head of the Central KONI while ordering the board of PB to ISSI makes good program planning.

One of the messages from the Central KONI Ketum is to develop bicycle sports through competitions held in tourism destinations so that there is Sport Tourism value. "I invite PB ISSI to give full support so that Indonesian tourist destinations are known to the world through bicycles," said Marciano Norman.

Not to forget, the Head of the Central KONI reminded them to fight the use of doping. He believes that the Indonesian Achievement Sports Patriot is able to excel without doping.

Listyo Sigit Prabowo was inaugurated based on the results of the XIX ISSI 2021 Extraordinary National Deliberation (Munaslub) on April 3, 2021, at Senayan, Jakarta. The National Police Chief received the mandate to be the General Manager of PB ISSI at that time.

The chairman of PB ISSI started his speech by expressing his gratitude to the management of PB ISSI for the previous period of service. "Thank you to all the management of PB ISSI for the 2016-2020 period," he said.

The National Police Chief is enthusiastic about developing bicycle sports in the country. The condition of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is starting to improve, is expected to be a momentum to foster athletes. "This is an opportunity for us to prepare ourselves well, to better prepare our athletes for (facing) international events," he said.

Listyo Sigit Prabowo also mentioned the Great Design of National Sports (DBON). "The purpose of the DBON is how to improve sports culture in the community, secondly to increase the capacity, synergy, and productivity of national sports achievements, thirdly to advance the national economy through sports," he explained in support of DBON.

The bicycle sport itself is included in the 14 seed. "Alhamdulillah, we are included in the DBON, of course, we must maintain this with achievements," said the Ketum PB ISSI.

After being inaugurated by the Chairman of the Central KONI, Marciano Norman, the Chairman of PB ISSI Listyo Sigit Prabowo immediately inaugurated ISSI provincial administrators from 5 (five) provinces, including Bangka Belitung, Riau, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, and NTB. Furthermore, he immediately officially opened the 2021 ISSI National Working Meeting by beating a digital gong.
