Big 8 Of Liga 2 On December 15-23 Accompanied By Face-to-face Activities

JAKARTA - The competition operator PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) stated that the last eight of Liga 2 2021 will be held on December 15-23 and will be accompanied by several face-to-face activities.

Quoted from Antara, Wednesday, the activities that took place face-to-face were the match coordination meeting (MCM) and the post-match press conference. The two activities were previously carried out online.

LIB Operations Director Sudjarno emphasized that the face-to-face decision during the MCM and the press conference, which was taken at the coordination meeting of the last eight 2021 Liga 2 participants on Tuesday, would not reduce the stringent health procedures for preventing COVID-19 in the competition.

"The health protocols are still the same as we have previously implemented," said Sudjarno.

The retired National Police with the last rank of Inspector General of Police said that the antigen swab test was still being applied in stadiums on match days.

In addition, for the team, all players and team officials, with a maximum of 35 people, will undergo an antigen test two days before entering the hotel and carry out a PCR swab test on D-1 match.

However, LIB has not been able to confirm the presence of spectators at the stadium because they and PSSI are still in contact with the government.

Meanwhile, regarding the 2021 Liga 2 quarter-finals, LIB divided the participating teams into two groups, namely Group X and Group Y.

Group X, which competed at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor, consisted of Sriwijaya FC, RANS Cilegon FC, Persis Solo and Persiba Balikpapan.

Group Y consists of PSMS Medan, Martapura Dewa United, PSIM Yogyakarta and North Sulawesi United. The group matches were held at the Wibawa Mukti Stadium, Bekasi Regency.

"Then, the player transfer market activities in the quarter-finals of Liga 2 will be opened from 8-14 December 2021. Later the last match will be played simultaneously to uphold the principle of 'fairness'," said LIB President Director Akhmad Hadian Lukita.
