Defeat Persikabo, Persija Manages To End Bad Results In League 1

JAKARTA - Persija Jakarta managed to end a series of bad results in Liga 1 2021/2022 after defeating Persikabo in the 15th match at the Sultan Agung Stadium, Bantul, Yogyakarta, Friday.

In the previous two matches in Liga 1, Persija Jakarta had to lose to Bali United and Borneo FC.

Quoted from ANTARA, Persija Jakarta won the match against Persikabo with a score of 1-0 through a single goal scored by midfielder Rohit Chand in the 50th minute.

This victory made Persija Jakarta move up to 9th place in the Liga 1 standings with 21 points from 15 matches, while Persikabo was still stuck in 13th position with a total of 15 points.

In the first half, Persija Jakarta took the initiative to attack first and managed to create a chance in the 25th minute through Marko Simic.

Marko Simic managed to push it into the Persikabo penalty box, but his shot was still sideways to the left side of the goal which was guarded by Moch. Diky Indriyana.

Furthermore, in the 35th minute, it was Persikabo's turn to pose a threat through Ciro Alves, but his shot from outside the penalty box was still sideways over the Persija crossbar.

In the 41st minute, it was Osvaldo Haay's turn to give Persija an opportunity but his shot was still sideways on the right side of Persikabo's goal, and until the first half ended the score was 0-0 for both teams to stay.

In the second half, Persija managed to take the lead thanks to an effort from midfielder Rohit Chand to capitalize on an error made by the Persikabo defense.

Just five minutes into the second half, Rohit Chand managed to steal the ball and managed to score against Persikabo which changed the score to 1-0 for Persija's advantage in the 50th minute.

Left behind by one goal, Persikabo put pressure on 54 minutes through Ciro Alves, but his shot was still sideways from the goal guarded by Andritany Ardhiyasa.

After that, it was Sergei Pushniakov's turn to threaten Persija's goal after receiving a pass from Ciro Alves, but his header was still sideways in the 56th minute.

Then in the 59th minute, it was striker Dimas Drajad's turn to threaten Persija's goal, but his shot was still saved by Andritany Ardhiyasa. In the remaining time of the second half, Persikabo pressed more often to equalize, but until the long whistle sounded, the score 1-0 for Persija remained.
