Accompanying The U-18 National Team In Turkey, Bima Sakti: I'm Only Helping Shin Tae-yong

JAKARTA - The U-16 national team coach, Bima Sakti is trusted to accompany the U-18 national team flying to Turkey. He was asked to be the coach of Garuda Muda while in Turkey, but according to the Milky Way his presence was only to help Shin Tae-yong.

Bima Sakti is actually the coach of the U-16 national team, but lately, he is enjoying his free time because his new team will train again in January 2022. In the middle of that time he was asked to help guard Garuda Muda.

Bima Sakti explained that at first he was asked to help Shin Tae-yong guard the U-18 national team while in Turkey.

"About a month ago I was asked by coach Indra Sjafri (Technical Director of Indonesian Football Association) to help coach Shin (Tae-yong) in the U-18 national team because he focused on preparing the (senior) team for the AFF Cup next month," said Bima Sakti during the ceremony. the release of the U-18 national team at the Sultan Hotel, Jakarta on Monday night.

Shin Tae-yong himself had already been in Turkey to galvanize the senior national team through a training camp. The man from South Korea is the head coach for the senior national team and the U-18 national team.

Currently, Shin Tae-yong is focusing on guarding the senior national team, but he also wants to keep an eye on the U-18 national team. For that, he also brought Garuda Muda to fly to Turkey and asked the Milky Way for help.

Because it is still included in Shin Tae-young's projection, Bima Sakti said the training patterns and materials provided for the U-18 national team are also not much different from the seniors.

"Collaborating (training materials), so all of them are indeed coach Shin who chooses, and there are inputs that we really have to apply in the U-18 national team," said Bima Sakti.

"Because it's the same line as the seniors, there aren't too many changes. All training materials, then other things are all from coach Shin," he continued.

While in Turkey, the U-18 national team will focus on conducting a training camp and will carry out three test matches to try out their performance in preparation for the U-20 World Cup in 2023.

Meanwhile, the senior national team must also focus and work hard while in Turkey to prepare to appear in the AFF Cup 2020 next December in Singapore.
