Ahead Of The Third Series Of League 1, LIB: Possible Spectator Attendance Test In Week 14

JAKARTA - Fresh air for football lovers in the country is starting to feel, PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB) as the organizer of the competition has begun to consider the presence of spectators directly on the field.

LIB revealed that there is a possibility of bringing in spectators in the third series of the 2021 Liga 1 competition. This will begin to be tried on week 14 or 15.

President Director of PT Liga Indonesia Baru (LIB), Akhmad Hadian Lukita explained that the preparation for the audience trial in Liga 1 2021 had entered the final stage. Possibly, a trial of audience attendance will be conducted at the Manahan Stadium, Solo.

He also mentioned that PT LIB had its own team to design audience attendance. He has received information that the preparation has entered the final stages so that it can be tried in late November or early December.

"There is a special team that I have formed from the LIB as well. Maybe this week or next week it will be presented to us and he said it is in the final stages," said Akhmad in the information received by VOI, Monday, November 15.

"In Central Java, the Manahan Stadium might be used, because it's the only one that uses a numbered seat. In the week, I kind of forget it, maybe 14-15," he added.

Even though he has revealed the possibility of presenting spectators in week 14 or 15, Akhmad still has not provided information on which matches the audience will attend. The reason is, there are still considerations that continue to be finalized, including the matter of coordination with the government.

"There are risks, whether it's a big match, whether it's an exciting match, or what. This is something we're still considering. But honestly, we have to present all of this to the government," explained Akhmad.

This news is a breath of fresh air for football lovers and fans in the country, because so far, Liga 1 and Liga 2 are running without spectators due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Very strict health protocols were applied to the limitation of people in the stadium as many as 299 people.

Meanwhile, during the trial, it was reported that the stadium could be filled with up to 1000 people, including players, match officials, match committees, and invitees.
