Arsenal Overtake MU In The Standings, Emile Smith-Rowe Shines When The Gunners Beat Watford

JAKARTA - Emile Smith-Rowe appeared even more brilliant when he led Arsenal to beat Watford 1-0 in the eleventh week of the Premier League match at the Emirates Stadium, London, Sunday.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder scored Arsenal's winner against Watford when breaking the deadlock in the 56th minute.

Starting from the action of Ben White who tried to penetrate the Watford defense, a wild ball fell in front of Smith-Rowe who swiftly fired a shot to beat goalkeeper Ben Foster.

As reported by Antara, Sunday, November 7, Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had a chance to find the ball against Watford again in the 73rd minute, but the goal was disallowed.

In contrast, Watford struggled to create any meaningful chances throughout the game and instead had to finish with ten men after Juraj Kucka received a second yellow card one minute from normal time.

The win lifted Arsenal to fifth in the standings with 20 points, while Watford dropped to 17th with 10 points, according to the Premier League's official website.

In another match taking place simultaneously at Elland Road, Leeeds United shared the points with Leicester City after a 1-1 draw.

Raphinha put Leeds ahead in the 26th minute with a free-kick but two minutes later Leicester hit back with Harvey Barnes' curling effort.

Ademola Lookman found the net against Leeds in the 67th minute but the goal was disallowed after VAR declared him offside when he picked up Jamie Vardy's header.

An additional point makes Leeds move up to 15th with 11 points, while Leicester is stuck in 12th with 15 points.
