Auto2000 Collaborates With Bekasi City Government Bina Kampung With Astra

JAKARTA Auto2000 continues to show its commitment to encouraging community empowerment and environmental conservation through sustainability programs. This time, the company officially inaugurated Astra (KBA) Jatimelati Village, which is located at Puri Gading Housing, Bekasi, Monday, November 3.

This initiative is the third KBA assisted by Auto2000, after Cengkareng Timur (2017) and Kampung Setaman Depok (2024). This program is a tangible manifestation of Auto2000's support for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Astra 2030 Sustainability Aspiration, based on 3P principles, namely People, Planet, Profit, to ensure a balance between human welfare, nature sustainability, and business sustainability.

The inauguration was attended by the Mayor of Bekasi, Dr. H. Tri Adhianto Tjahyono, SE, MM, together with the Head of Pondokmelati Sub-district, Heryanto AP, MSI, and the Head of Pondokmelati Kosasih Village, S.E., along with the local government.

"So this CSR has actually been held by Astra International for a long time and of course Auto2000 as part of Astra also supports these programs. Because it is indeed one of the parts of education, the environment, MSMEs," said Chief Executive Auto2000 Anton Jimmi Suwady at the location.

Today is not just a launch, but the beginning of collaboration and hope. The success of the program requires the synergy and support of us Auto2000, Government, Community and Citizens," he continued.

Auto2000 built KBA Jatimelati by focusing on four main pillars: Education, Health, Environment, and MSMEs. This program is not only aimed at improving the welfare of citizens, but also creating a strong and competitive community.

In the Health pillar, Auto2000 focuses on improving Maternal and Child Health services. The program includes empowering posyandu through training cadres, providing medical devices, and providing additional food for toddlers.

In the Education sector, Auto2000 supports improving the quality of PAUD and Elementary Schools through teacher training, educational assistance, and sustainable assistance. This effort is expected to be able to create a better learning environment for Jatimelati children.

Meanwhile, in the Environmental Pillars, Auto2000 initiated the cultivation of aloe vera plants as a mitigation measure against climate change. This plant not only helps absorb air pollution, but is also used as a drink product managed by residents.

In addition, environmental programs are also strengthened by reforestation activities, the manufacture of biopores, compositeing, and support for the Climate Village Program (Proklim). The UMKM pillar is the driving force for the residents' economy. Auto2000 provides business training ranging from production, financial management, to marketing.

From this program, various new businesses were born, such as crocodile tongue drinks, onde-onde, mochi, and recycled products from forward cloth. Not only that, but Auto2000 also helps the management of the Waste Bank, which functions double as a means of maintaining environmental cleanliness as well as a source of income for local residents.
