JAKARTA – GAC Indonesia achieved a resounding success at the 2025 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), securing 3,046 Vehicle Orders (SPK). This figure demonstrates the high level of visitor enthusiasm and underscores the growing rapport between the Chinese electric car brand and Indonesian consumers.
The main highlight was the AION UT, GAC Indonesia's latest model, which garnered 2,034 SPKs throughout the exhibition. Interestingly, the majority of consumers chose the highest-end variant, the Premium.
"This is a sign that the AION UT has been very well received by the Indonesian public," said GAC Indonesia CEO, Andry Ciu, in an official statement on Monday, August 11.
Although official pricing has not yet been announced, GAC has opened pre-bookings, starting at IDR 330 million for two variants: Standard and Premium.
The AION UT is available in Emerald Green, Moonstone Silver, Lunar White, Velvet Red, and Almond Beige, including a two-tone white roof option in Emerald Green and Velvet Red.
With dimensions of 4,270 mm x 1,850 mm x 1,575 mm and a wheelbase of 2,750 mm, this car offers comfortable daily driving. Not only does it look attractive, the AION UT can travel up to 500 km on a single charge, with fast charging from 30–80 percent in just 24 minutes via CCS2 DC fast charging.
