JAKARTA - The Tanjung Priok Port Police intensified greening through the planting of 20 hardwood trees with the community and online motorcycle taxis (ojol) at the Tanjung Priok Port Police dormitory, North Jakarta.

The Tanjung Priok Port Police Chief, AKBP Alrasyidin Fajri, said that the planting of trees was carried out in commemoration of the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia.

"Planting these trees is one form of concern for the police and the community for environmental sustainability," said AKBP Alrasyidin Fajri when confirmed, Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The trees were planted to maintain environmental sustainability and increase greenery in the surrounding environment.

"We use the 81st Independence Day to carry out positive activities that provide benefits for the environment and the community," he said.

In addition to being part of the series of commemorations for the 81st Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, the activity is also a means to strengthen synergy and togetherness between the police, the community, and the online motorcycle taxi community.

The Police Chief hopes that the greening activities will not stop at the ceremonial activities, but can be continued by maintaining and caring for the trees that have been planted.

"We hope that the trees that have been planted can be cared for and maintained together so that they can provide benefits for the environment and future generations," he said.
