New Concept, Hyundai Wins Award With This Car

Hyundai brought home the 2024 Red Dot Awards from various categories. One of the models that received this award was the Santa Fe XRT Concept who won the 'Design Concept' in the Cars and Motorcycles category.

Executive Vice President and Head of Hyundai SangYup Lee, said the presence of Santa Fe XRT Concept proves that manufacturers offer vehicles not only depending on features, but also designs that can attract public attention.

"This award really shows the extraordinary achievements and dedication of our talented designers," Lee said on the manufacturer's official website, Thursday, July 4.

This concept takes the basis from the latest generation of Santa Fe which was introduced in mid-2023. What distinguishes it from the standard version, XRT has an off-road tough concept.

Hyundai Santa Fe XRT Concept is said to be able to handle challenging and extreme terrain though. The SUV has been designed to focus on off-road activities, seen from rims and thick tires, sturdy roof shelves, and more storage components.

Not only this SUV, the South Korean manufacturer also bought awards for the Autonomous category by introducing innovations called DIE and SPACE.

CEE or Digital Curated Experience, is an autonomous mobility that offers a variety of personalized services. It is offered with sharing and subscription-based services, integrating with users' personal devices seamlessly to experience customized experiences.

Supported by environmentally friendly hydrogen-based fuel cells, DIE not only provides transportation but also purifys the air, thus contributing to cleaner cities. Its robotic technology, including Plug and Drive (PnD) modules, facilitates flexible driving modes, such as diagonal driving and zero round capabilities, thereby increasing maneuverability.

Then SPACE (Spatial Curated Experience) is a multi-SEATER public mobility system that gives everyone unlimited access to travel.

The interior space is flexible and equipped with the 'Adaptive Seat', while the boarding height controller allows easy access for wheelchair users and provides the perfect solution for long-distance mobility.
